Berrow Dunes Local Nature Reserve

Introduction

Berrow Dunes Local Nature Reserve is a special place next to Berrow Beach. It is part of a bigger area called Berrow Dunes Site of Special Scientific Interest and is close to Bridgwater Bay National Nature Reserve. These areas are important for nature and wildlife.

The reserve has lots of different plants, insects, and birds and is managed to control invasive plants from spreading, and protect the land and animals. Somerset Council’s Green Estates Team and Berrow Conservation Group work together to make sure Berrow Dunes is a good place for
people to visit and for wildlife to live.

Berrow Dunes is free to visit and open all year round.
