Bringing your dog to Ham Hill

Dogs are very welcome at Ham Hill. To help keep the park safe and enjoyable for everyone, please follow these simple rules.

  • Please pick up after your dog. This helps keep the park clean and protects plants and wildlife. There are plenty of dog waste bins around the site.
  • Keep your dog close and stay on the paths. This helps protect wildflowers and stops wildlife from being disturbed.
  • Look out for grazing animals. Sometimes cows and sheep are used to manage the grass. If animals are present, please keep your dog on a lead. Check signs on gates, the noticeboard at the Visitor Centre, or our Facebook page for updates.
  • Help protect skylarks. Skylarks are special birds that nest on the ground in the meadows. From April to July, please keep your dog on a lead when you see skylark warning signs. If they are disturbed, their eggs may not hatch.

Thank you for helping us look after Ham Hill and its wildlife.
